Initial consultation

I welcome enquiries from families considering a commissioned portrait. Each piece is entirely bespoke and created in close consultation with you.

We can discuss the subject, scale and intention of the portrait, as well as any important timings (for example, if the work is intended as a gift).

I work from photographs and will ask you to email me a selection of your favourite photos of the subject and I can advise you on which would be most suitable to use as our reference photo. There is detailed guidance on how to choose a reference photo on the FAQ page.

Payment

A 50% deposit is required to secure your place on my commission schedule.

When the work is complete, I will send you a photograph for approval before final payment is requested.
