Commissioning a portrait is a collaborative experience.

1. Initial enquiry

You are welcome to get in touch via the website, email, or phone to enquire about commissioning a portrait.

2. Consultation

We will discuss the subject, scale, timing, and any particular considerations. I will also advise on suitability and availability.

3. Securing your commission

A 50% deposit secures your place in my commission schedule.

4. Reference photographs

I work from photographs and provide guidance on selecting or creating images that will translate beautifully into graphite.

5. Studio work

Your portrait is drawn entirely by hand in my Oxford studio.

6. Approval

Once complete, I will send a photograph of the portrait for your approval before fixative is applied.

7. Completion & delivery

Following final payment, your portrait may be collected in person from my Oxford studio or sent securely by insured delivery. Framing and additional prints are available to complement your artwork.
