About the artist

I am a fine artist specialising in hand-drawn graphite portraits, with a particular focus on childhood, adolescence, and family legacy.

My work is commissioned by families who wish to honour fleeting moments in time — the spirit of childhood, the threshold between youth and adulthood, and the relationships that shape a family across generations. Each portrait is created as a lasting heirloom, drawn using classical techniques and conservation-quality materials selected for their longevity.

Although art has been a constant presence throughout my life, my professional path has been deliberately shaped by rigour, discipline, and close attention to detail. Before establishing my full-time art practice, I spent nearly two decades as a lawyer at a leading City law firm, following my studies at the University of Oxford. That background continues to inform my work today; precision, discretion, and responsibility are central to everything I create.

My portraits are drawn entirely by hand in my Oxford studio. I work closely with each client, guiding them through the commissioning process. Because of the time and focus required for each piece, I accept a limited number of commissions each month.

Alongside portraiture, I occasionally accept commissions exploring themes of memory, place, and personal significance — such as beloved landscapes, meaningful natural subjects, and portraits of companion animals — where these align with my practice and approach.

I live and work in North Oxford with my husband and three daughters. It is a privilege to create work that becomes part of a family’s story, and I approach each commission with the seriousness and care such a responsibility deserves.
